BCSCA Webinar Series: Expressive Arts Therapy in the School Counselling Office

Shift: Changing Thought Patterns Through Creative Expression

BCSCA 60-Minute Webinar with Laurie Larkin-Boyle

Date: May 26th, 2:30pm

This one-hour experiential webinar explores how simple visual art practices can support a shift in limiting thought patterns and promote emotional regulation. Led by art therapist (and former school counsellor) Laurie Larkin-Boyle, the session will guide you through easy, hands-on creative exercises that help connect inner experience with outward expression.

No art experience is needed. The focus is on using visual art as a tool for reflection, awareness, and personal insight—not on creating a finished product.

What you’ll need:

  • 3 sheets of paper

  • Markers or oil pastels

  • A glue stick

  • Tape

  • A quiet space where you can work comfortably

Join us with a few basic materials and an open mind—you’ll leave with practical, creative strategies you can use for yourself and with others.
