To assist with implementation (starting in September 2010) of the Mathematics 10-12 curriculum, the BCAMT in conjunction with the Ministry of Education will host a series of Elluminate sessions.
Each of the sessions will start with a presentation followed by questions from participants.
Five (5) sessions have been scheduled so far (all times are Pacific Standard):

Topic: Introduction to Mathematics 10-12 Pathways: Session will provide an overview of the content of the grades 10-12 mathematics pathways and explain the similarities and differences between each.

Topic: Choosing a High School Mathematics Pathway: Session will provide information to assist teachers and counsellors when advising students about the high school mathematics pathways.

Topic: Mathematical Processes in the High School Mathematics Curriculum: Session will focus on the importance of the seven mathematical processes in the high school mathematics curriculum.

The presentation section of each of these will be archived and posted to the Ministry of Education and BCAMT websites for future reference. Additional sessions may be scheduled if necessary.Educators from around the province can connect to these sessions using Elluminate from any computer which has internet access.
Questions submitted prior to the meeting will be incorporated into the presentation. Questions can be emailed to Richard.DeMerchant@gov.bc.ca.
